Sven played 4 years for the Bavarian All-Star team and won the title of "Best Batter" in the national under-18 competition in 2005. In his first year with the FTBC, Sven showed impressive skill in the field and the ability to get on base and drive in runs. In his only NCBA campaign, Sven was selected to the NCBA South Atlantic All-Region 3rd Team.
