The FTBC finishes up the Fall 2013 regular seaosn with a 6-4 record.
The Florida Tech Baseball Club wrapped up the Fall 2013 regular season with a 6-4 record on Wednesday with a 3-2, extra-innings loss to the Palm Bay Grizzlies. Though the team jumped out to a 5-0 start, the offense struggled through the second half as the FTBC finished up with a three-game skid.

The pitching staff delivered for most of the season, with Derek Maldonado, Adam Rieder, and Cory Smith turning in sub-1.5 ERAs. Zachary Litsch and Wes Sanders have also had strong seasons, picking up two wins each while turning in multiple extremely strong outings.

On the offensive side, Sean Green paced the offense, carrying a .462/.605/.577 line into the playoffs. José Dominguez (.308/.471/.462) and Sanders (.391/.500/.435) both carry impressive lines into the playoffs as well. Smith also deserves mention for his .500/.733/.500 line, though he is a few plate appearances shy of qualifying for team leads because of his contributions on the mound.

The FTBC is set to begin BCBL Playoffs this weekend. The final bracket has yet to be released as there are still a few games for other teams to play, so be sure to check later to see who the FTBC takes on in the first round!
