After dropping two straight series to FGCU and UF (DII), the Florida Tech Baseball Club bounced back and won two of three games against conference opponent USF.

After scoring seven runs and winning game one, the FTBC's offense exploded in game two for another 11 runs early on, but the pitching staff had trouble keeping USF's bats in check. The highlight of the weekend came in the bottom of the 7th in game two, when Matt Ryan stepped to the plate with the game tied. Wasting no time, Matt blasted a ball to left-center field, easily clearing the fence at Palm Bay Regional Park for the first walk-off home run in FTBC history. Final score: 12-11.

Robby Rew led the overall charge at the plate over the weekend (4-8, 2 2B, 2 3B, 3 R, 5 RBI), with Blake Pryor picking up four hits of his own, and the team as a whole contributing top to bottom to get the job done.

Jared Walker pitched game one, and though he didn't have his best game of the season, he battled to limit damage and outlasted USF. After USF jumped on the board with 10 runs in the first two innings of game two, Pryor took the mound and stopped the bleeding. Shutting down USF's offense over the next 5 innings, he allowed only one run while the FTBC offense charged back to get him the win.
